Tournament FAQs

The 2026 Beer City Open will be a USA Pickleball Sanctioned Tournament and will be following all USA Pickleball Rules, including approved paddles. You will also need to be a member of USA Pickleball to Register.

· Please check out the Tournament listing at www.pickleballtournaments.com for more detailed information.

· Lottery Registration will begin on Sunday, April 19th at 8:00am and continue until Thursday, April 23rd at 11:55pm. You may register at any point during this period. Timing of your registration will not impact the lottery results which are scheduled to be released on or before Monday, May 4th.

· A GROUNDS PASS will once again be required to enter the Pickleball Facility during the MLP Event Thurs-Sun. Ground passes will be available for advanced purchase beginning Spring of 2026.

· FINAL DATE TO WITHDRAW AND RECEIVE A REFUND IS 6/24/25. A processing fee of $10.00 will be incurred if you withdraw prior to the withdrawal deadline. We are not able to refund the Pickleballbrackets.com service fee. NO REFUNDS will be issued after the deadline of June 24th.

· The match schedule is estimated to come out at least 2 weeks before play begins.

· The 2026 BCO will be USA Pickleball Sanctioned and using USA Pickleball rules, including paddles.

· The Official Ball of the Beer City Open is the Onix Dura Fast 40 Neon and the surface is outdoor concrete.

· Registration is $100. Event fees are $40 for Amateurs.

· You and your partner must be fully registered and paid, or you will be moved to the waitlist.

· If you lose your partner, you will have a short period of time to find a replacement. If you choose not to play with the person you originally registered with, only one of you will be able to fill that spot. One of you will be placed on the waitlist if there is not room in a bracket.

· We will be using DUPR for determining skill levels. You may play down in age and up in skill level if you choose. Keep in mind that the BCO is a "Players Tournament" and playing up in skill level may be challenging.

· You may play in Gender Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles, however, you are not able to play in multiple age brackets even if they are on different days.

· Indoor Facility: GR Racquet & Fitness. We will have indoor back up for all amateur matches on all days!

· NO Spectator parking on site. Please park in the dash lots and use the free DASH bus.

· There will be Food trucks onsite beginning Tuesday, but you may bring in your own food and beverage if you have dietary issues.

· Bringing your own chairs is okay, but there is bleacher seating available on the MLP Match Courts.
